'That is my birthday...mom'

It was 2PM on the 28th of June. I walked slowly through the front door and met my mom stood in front of me.

"Where have you been?" my mom asked "You should be home at 6, shouldn't you?"

"Yes..." I replied, "I've been to a birthday party."

After I replied her, I walked pass by her.

But she won't let me go. She pulled my back.

"Whose birthday is it?" she scolded at me

"Isn't be home on time important than your friend's birthday party!?"

"Plus, you didn't phone me that you will be late!"

The hall was cold and quiet. Some time after that, there was a sobbing sound.

"That..."

"That is...my birthday party, mom..."




The rest of that night...no one talked...on one...even look at each others.
